Brian is the Chief Executive Officer and the founder of
Lamplighter Financial. He has been working with small
companies for over 14 years in a wide range of finance
roles. Brian has a unique blend of expertise in accounting,
finance, and corporate transactions that fills a gap in the
finance team of most small companies.
Prior to founding Lamplighter Financial in 2011, Brian served as
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Central Valley
Fund, a private equity fund focused on investing in small,
California-based companies. Prior to working in private
equity, Brian worked in Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector
consulting group as a Senior Financial Analyst. He also worked
for BearingPoint’s Communications and Content group as a
Financial Analyst, focusing primarily on the telecom sector.
Previously, Mr. Woodall ran an Internet start-up,
TheBullseye.com, which focused on global financial markets.
He was also an Associate in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ audit
and consulting groups.
Mr. Woodall graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from
the University of Virginia, where he concentrated in both Finance
and Accounting. He received his MBA from the Graduate School of
Management at the University of California – Davis, concentrating
in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Woodall
is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Alternative
Investment Analyst. He is an active member of the Association for
Corporate Growth.
Suzanne joined Lamplighter Financial in 2012. She has worked as
an accounting professional for over eight years in a variety of
industries and companies, both small and large. She has a
balanced blend of public and private accounting that lends itself
well to assisting a wide range of companies.
Liz brings over 20 years of experience in financial planning and
analysis and treasury functions with companies ranging from
Fortune 500 to start-ups. This broad range of experience
allows her to interact effectively with companies regardless of
their stage in the corporate life cycle.
Mike is a Manager of Private Equity CFO Services and brings over
30 years of diversified experience in the financial reporting,
corporate finance, and operational areas to the firm. Prior
to joining Lamplighter Financial in 2012, he was a founding
partner and Chief Financial Officer for Woodside Capital
Partners, a series of private equity funds that focused on making
distressed debt and turnaround equity investments in lower middle
market companies. He also served as the CFO of Blackstone
Ventures, a private equity fund that invested in undervalued
cable television systems.
Darin is a Vice President at Lamplighter Financial, focusing on
corporate clients in the Sacramento area. He brings over 25
years of business, financial, and information technology
experience, including 10 years as a Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Salk has held key management positions in both private
enterprises and public corporations and worked as a financial and
information system controls consultant. Prior to joining
Lamplighter Financial, Mr. Salk was CFO of Cedaron Medical, Inc.,
a Davis-based medical software company. Previous to that, he
co-founded an internet-based medical nutrition company and had a
consulting practice providing Sarbanes-Oxley finance and IT
consulting services.
Dave has over 20 years of experience working with small
businesses and distressed companies. Dave is the CEO of Nebraska
Heavy Industries, a firm strategically engaged in the advisory of
turnaround opportunities. He formerly served as Principal with
MVC Capital, where he was responsible for several investments and
served as co-portfolio manager of a venture capital portfolio
owned by Motorola Ventures, Inc.
Ben has over 20 years of experience working with small businesses
and distressed companies. Ben is a Partner with Nebraska Heavy
Industries, a firm strategically engaged in the advisory of
turnaround opportunities. He formerly served as an investment
professional of MVC Capital and portfolio manager of Brantley
Capital.
Forrest has over 10 years of experience in private equity and
working with small businesses in various C-suite roles, most
recently with SunOne Solutions, an ecosystems services and
environmental markets solutions provider with offices in
California, Colorado, Nebraska, New York, Texas, and Sao Paulo,
Brazil. Forrest is a Partner with Nebraska Heavy Industries, a
firm strategically engaged in the advisory of turnaround
opportunities.
Lee has over 20 years of experience in commercial banking and in
working with small businesses. Lee is a Partner with Nebraska
Heavy Industries, a firm strategically engaged in the advisory of
turnaround opportunities. He is formerly a Principal of Cardinal
Management in Lincoln, Nebraska where he focused on private
equity investments, venture capital investments, and portfolio
management in the Midwest.
