Ben has over 20 years of experience working with small businesses and distressed companies. Ben is a Partner with Nebraska Heavy Industries, a firm strategically engaged in the advisory of turnaround opportunities. He formerly served as an investment professional of MVC Capital and portfolio manager of Brantley Capital.

Throughout his career, Ben has focused on turnaround and restructuring work, as well as being involved in venture capital, private equity, and buyout transactions. Previously, Ben founded ITC Ventures, a Latin America-based venture capital fund responsible for launching over 20 companies throughout Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

Ben also worked in the tax and legal department of KPMG International in Santiago, Chile. He received his Bachelor degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Ben also serves on the Board of Directors of the Hormel Family Foundation.
